When I mean fanatic, I mean things like feminism is evil, public schools are evil, women should not wear pants, women should bow to their husbands, divorce is a sin thing!

They make it look like every Christian is a Bible-thumping, logic rejecting, self-righteous, "I know whats right and if you disagree with me you're going to Hell" moron. People like that give Jesus a bad name.

The Bible says to love the Lord your God with ALL your heart, mind and soul. If this is what you mean by fanatical, then I am fanatical, and i'm not going to apologise for it. I will continue to be fanatical for Jesus Christ, after all He died and took the punishment which I deserved, and which you deserved too! You can't blame me for being fanatical - no greater, unconditional love than this!

Human beings are emotional creatures, and they make too many judgements based on emotion, instead of reason.
Jesus said not to fall to the Left or the Right. But that's exactly what we have in our World. The Left, Liberals, and Right, Conservatives.
But we need to make informed decisions. Get the facts. And use and even mind!

I wish I knew! But, on the other side, every group has its extremists and fanatics. We can not judge any group by its fanatics. It's not fair to judge the environmentalist cause by people who attach themselves to trees. It's not fair to say that the N.F.L. is dumb b/c of certain players like T.O. We need to judge the ideology of the group and not its extremists.

Because many people are unfamiliar with Christianity as far as the Bible is concerned, so they look at "Christians", fanatical or not, as being the representative of the faith.

I suppose that if Jesus walked the earth and taught now, He would be considered a fanatic. Jesus told His followers not to be surprised if the world hates you, it hated Him too. The bible says Gos changes not.
