if we must say god exists or created anything

wouldn't it be logical for god to be a woman

YOU spit out a life....no, YOU spit out a life....it just doesn't compute using a man image

makes more sense if we considered god to be present day humanity in the form of the perfect family or unity of the sexes and society, not a triune 3 way man god monster that hates women and dishes out mass murders, floods and destruction...typical of men, not of women

can Humanity be "fathered" without a mother?

I say if there's a male god who created us, there must also be a goddess who took part in the creation. In Nature most male animals don't give birth, with the exception of the seahorse.

For what it's worth, this is what I believe:
Gender did not exist until God created it.
God is neither male nor female, but completely self-contained.
Jesus, Who is male, is God in the flesh...and He is called the Son of Man...does this mean God is male?
No...only that God had to chose one or the other to come to earth as...and, let's face it, gals...if He had come as a woman, nobody would have listened to her...besides, can you imagine a woman on the cross? Horrendous!!
God does not love or respect one sex more than the other...both are equal.
Why do we call God "He" or "Father"?? I suppose it is like the generic "mankind" that also includes women...besides, it would be rather disrespectful to refer to God as "It", don't you think?

I just see God as a man that is why I say He. God could be God/Goddess or perhaps there are more then one or two ways of looking at it. God being a Spirit you make a good point. I only do not like anyone to say there is no creator! I know it shouldn't but this makes me angry. Bless You. Well there is God The Father-God The son-and God The Holy Spirit.

God creates He doesn't propagate. He created male and female to reproduce. He created male and female animals to reproduce and other species to reproduce after their kind.

Pagan religion began the queen of heaven Semiramus and Tammuz her son and her husband Nimrod. Noah's great grandson produced this group of idolators. They were from the cursed line of Noah's son Ham who saw his father's nakedness and the curse came on down even to the Canaanites through Canaan who was Ham's son.

If it doesn't compute using a man's image, then scrap the computer. Because Man is God the Father and the Son. The Body of Christ (believers) are the Bride of Christ. Christ is portrayed as our lover and bridegroom. Not only is He man but the most powerful male image that you will ever know.

Consider these things:
1. Jesus is said to be the human form of God, God Himself, and the Son of God. Jesus was a man
2. In a family, who is the "boss"? a man..the church is like a family headed by god.
3. actually God is not a human, therefore He isn't a male nor a female peron, yet we refer to Him as He, becuase He created a male perosn first, + other things which are in the bible, and proof why we refer to god as He.

God bless

Xtian Jewish (and like types) scripture specifically denotes GOD as male.. the "father" descriptions with long flowing beard.. constant refrence to HE, created man & adam in his own image etc etc. HIS physical appearance being described.. and all of this in Genesis alone.. and of course one would assume that indeed god met the requirements in all physical aspects to being a male including genitals.. no reason not to.. specifically when genesis also specifically points out that the SONS OF GOD (angels) were having sex and offspring with the human females of the earth.. kindda need a penis to do that no? (the real reason for the flood of earth re: Noah to get rid of those bastard offspring of gods Kids and human females (nephriluim (SP?)).. evil men & women were just a secondary perk to it....

Just read Genesis.. its all there... (and no I'm not an Xtian Jew etc type.. hardly.. I just know how to read)

I really have no problem with any of you putting yer faith in your respective GOD(s) so along as it dosent interefere with me personally.. But I do think putting your faith in Preacher Joe's word for the way it is is well just assinine... (hey hey maybe lying.. or even just mistaken.. why would you take a humans word for anything GOD related.. well unless you arent the brightest bulb on the string that is)

Now as for other religions.. the head cheese in Goddom is indeed Female.. and those religions specify as much as well.

and as a side note.. there are several asexual species on this planet that require neither male nor female to propagate.. (earthworms, starfish, etc) so Nope the argument that 2 sexes are required dosent cut it....

"He" is far better than "it", and no more or less appropriate then "she". Most people who call God "She" just do it as some kind of crazy protest against the word "he", so I generally disaprove.

For example, your post claims that destruction is "typical of men"--which might be a fair (if overly harsh) assessment, were it not for "not of women". You think "He" is inappropriate for God because of your own prejudice--hardly a good reason.

The masculine terms aren't any better than feminine, but having a standard is good, the masculine have always been used, the alternative is no better or more accurate, and they do no harm; sound fine to me.

The bible writes God the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. So? God calls Himself a He.

Gee, maybe the ancient middle east was, I don't know, patralinial. Women were considered nothing. Hmmm, maybe that's why. Look, don't try to find logic where religion is conserned. It was logical to believe that a big invisible man in the sky is responsible for all this before the major advances in science that tell us likewise. Now-a-days we know better, but there are people who were told for generations and gernerations by their mommies and daddies that the Bible is true and it says hevenly father, so instead of questioning any of it, they say, it is a heavenly father.
