Abstract and Introduction
Abstract
A variety of lesions occur in the normal liver. This review will describe the most common benign, malignant, and infectious lesions. Illustration will be made of the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) appearance of the most common of these. Due to the high accuracy for liver lesion detection and characterization, and the intrinsic safety of the modality, MR should be considered the primary imaging tool to investigate liver diseases.

Introduction
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the most sensitive and specific modality to show focal liver lesions in a normal liver.[1,2] The present review describes the MRI appearance of the most common of these lesions.

lesions are basically abnormalities. probably detected in an x-ray or other scan. could be benign or something more serious. you should seek further help with this matter with an internist or other md.
good luck...
