Can't answer that without knowing how much candy or how much fruit. Candy and fruit both contain sugar, but different types. Fruit has fructose, candy can have lots of different types of sugar. Look at this page for more info on sugars:

Candy Definitely, but the sugar the fruit has is just as sweet and is good for you.

Regular candy has more sugar, and it's refined sugar rather than fructose. Fruit is also healthier for other reasons, as it provides much higher dietary fiber, potassium and other nutrients that candy doesn't.
