Jesus never claimed to be god. The people that wrote about him after his death gave him that distinction. They were convinced that he was the messiah. All of the messianic prophecies portrayed the messiah as a king who would lead the Jewish people into the kingdom of heaven. When he was convicted and executed as a common criminal they had to shift the significance of that event to convince others that he really was the messiah. Even then the earliest writings don't even put him on the level of god, but rather a powerful messenger of god.

what about Jn 1:1-14 or
1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
he did not say i am God. he claimed it though and the jews new this for this is why he was crusified. for blasphemy against the Lord. at the same time it is recorded later that if they had known the truth they would not have crusified the Lord.
everything said about God is said about Jesus. God is our father and it says Jesus is our father. God is our Lord and there is only ONE Lord however Jesus is our Lord,
Jer 10:10 But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
1Jo 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
this was spoken by Jesus.

Jesus Christ is the Alpha and Omega, the Almighty God. You either haven't read the Bible or you choose to be ignorant of the word.
God the Father even calls Jesus God....
Read Psalms 45
it's repeated in Hebrews 1:8-12
But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions." And: "You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment; Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail."

Does the fact that He never said, I AM MAN mean that He was not a man?
He never denied it when His disciples called Him God or the church leaders said He was claiming to be God.
John 20:26-29
Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27 Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."
28 Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"
29 Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

He never directly said "I am God," but there are certain verses that Christians interpret as Jesus claiming to be God.
For instance, at one point during his trial Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I AM." He seems to be claiming to be eternal; plus the phrase "I AM" is a translation of God's holiest name in the Hebrew scriptures. So, if you interpret that verse a certain way, it seems that Jesus is claiming to be God.
Also, Jesus claims the power to forgive sins. Some people interpret that as a claim to be God also. After all, who but God has the right to grant forgiveness for other people's sins?
It's subject to interpretation but there are some verses that can be interpreted that way.

God created Jesus, to make Jesus convince God to forgive our sins. I'm still trying to make sense out of that. If Jesus were God, then it would confuse me even more.

Jesus came down from Heaven to be born as one of us in everything but sin, He restored humilty to the world by subjecting Himself to God the Father and so did not verbally proclaim His divinity as such, but His Apostles came to see this especially Peter who said,` I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God`.

John Chapter 10
32: Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33: The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34: Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35: If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36: Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37: If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38: But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

I don't know if I translated this good.
The god has three faces the father son and st spirit, so he never could say I'm god, 'cause he was and he is one of the three god's faces.
