I dont believe in "ghosts", but i do think that if their is actually something there that people think are ghosts, its actually something else, not spirits of dead people. One thing that blows my mind, is the number of people out there who believe that vampires, actual vampires, are more likely than life on other planet(aliens). YOu gotta be kidding me.
One thing you didnt consider in your thought: You speak of "proof". Is it not possible for one person to have seen "proof" of something, and not be able to show it to others? Some believe that it has been proven to them, but that doesnt mean they can in turn prove it to you. I believe in every aspect of science. I LOVE science. Growing up, I had religion crammed down my throat, and I decided that there was no higher power. During the course of my life, however, in two seperate incidents it has been PROVEN, at least to me, that there is a higher power of some kind. That I cannot prove it to you does not change the undeniable proof that I have witnessed. I dont perscribe to christianity, islam, hindu or any other religion. But there is something MUCH larger at work.
Both science and religion, when you take either back to their beginning, neither make logical sense at that point. WHY IS THERE ANYTHING WHEN THEIR COULD BE NOTHING? Or should be nothing. Wrap your minds around the concept of the big bang, everything in the universe suddenly burst into existense from absolutely nothing. Physicists dont go to before the big bang because it makes no sense. So was the big bang the beginning of time? IF not, does that not mean that existese has alway been here? How can that be? NO beginning? Sounds an awful lot like god to me.

this is an enticing quests. Vampires do exist and so do ghosts , yet on the different section (generally the place mythical creatures finally end up), a vampire may be the two a vampire or they are going to remodel lower back right into a human ghost, it is all dependant on no rely if or no longer they chosen to be a vampire or no rely if or no longer they have been forced...desire this facilitates...

i have had experience with ghosts and spirit but none of vampires and demons
there are people out there that believe themself to be vampires but not in the literal sense though
so not it is not universally accepted that ghosts dont exist ... although as i understand it ghosts are only left over energy imprinted into the atmosphere
spirit are different , they are the conscious part of us that lives on
i have studied both and have no doubt they exist

Some people do believe that werewolves and vampires actually exist - you can find some of the fruitcakes in the mythology forum (they need to look up mythology in a dictionary) - they're not much less sane than people who believe in angels and demons - the delusion is supported because there are lots of other people who believe in it.
If you actually talk to religious people you realise they're all worshipping very different Gods and they just pretend its the same one and that they know what god is really like.
You have to be eccentric as well as retarded to believe in werewolves and vampires, if you're slightly less retarded you'll believe in ghosts, slightly less retarded again, god, and then if you're intelligent and a critical thinker, you'll only 'believe' in things that actually exist.

Personally, I'm a little amazed that some people believe in angels but don't believe in ET aliens and UFOs, that sort of stuff. They sound pretty similar to me! Why believe in the one with wings and a harp but not the one with the cool spaceship?
People pick and choose what they want to believe. Hypocrisy seems to be hardwired into the DNA...most people give in to it instead of fighting it. They think the "religious" one is better.
Hypocrisy!

I've believe in ghosts. I've experienced them. I don't believe in vampires, though there is a disease that resembles vapirism. As for Werewolves, a human can't change form at will or unwillingly). Its a physical impossibility.
As for the Christians, they believe in their god and demons because they're too afraid of reality to consider otherwise.

Interesting question. Society has accepted it as much as UFOs and Aliens. I think that there must be some truth in some of it or there is a great deal of fiction in this world... hmm..
