I had this guy come to my house the other day and ask I wanted eternal salvation, and when I asked him if he could actually prove it, he told me to read some book that said people were able to live 900+ years before finally dieing (keep in mind this was thousands of years ago, so these people that could live that long, had no access to the modern medicine techniques used today).
I asked him why he thought this was the one true religon, and he said because he knew it was, even though he could offer no proof what so ever AT ALL. Am I the only person that sees tring to force people into a religion, with the only actual proof you have is a book telling stories of how people could self resurrect, and other things we can't actually do today even though we have much more knowledge than that particular time period stupid?
Anyway, he asked me again if I wanted to convert, so I asked him if he was interested in becoming agnostic and wanted me to go over to his house to bother him.

I get fed up of this too. I just want to live a happy and decent life, by my own high standards. I don't want to be forced into a religion of hatred and intolerance.

As a Christian minister, I am sorry to hear that you had this experience. Let me try to explain this to you: Anyone who has given their life to Christ is charged with the task of bringing the Good News of Jesus to others. However, the person you encountered meant well, but was going about presenting the message the wrong way. I would never force you to believe in God, and the bible tells us to give the message-and that's it. Now faith is what the bible is about. You have to think outside of the box, and actually believe that an Almighty Creator put the earth and sky up there. What I suggest you do is, pick up a bible sometime, and read it with an open heart. When I was a young man, I thought like you do. "If God loves us so much, why does he let children have cancer and suffer?" But 30 years later, I learned that there is a reason. It was in the bible. Try it.

Honestly I have to say it's ignorance. When Jesus walked the Earth, He never said anything to anyone about dying and going to Hell. He showed love to everyone. He healed without asking why. He simply stated His father's message.
I say ignorance, because I am a Pationate Christ Follower. I strive to more like Christ everyday. I find His barbaric and uncivil method of standing firm to His Father's message was unmatched. When Jesus was here, everyone knew He was God. We even separated our time periods by his existence.
Of course the truth really is that there is only one truth. What I know is there's no way to convince you of this. If you want absolute evidence prior to chosing, then you are not living by faith. Faith is the only way you will reach Eternal Salvation.

That's a good one. People are not suppose to harass you when spreading the word of God. He does not want you to be forced, He wants to be loved by you by choice. If you know the story of Jesus, you know that He forced no one to follow. When He returns as kings of kings and Lords of Lords, He will not be concern about what church of religion you belong, He is coming back for people who keep His commandments, and have the testimonies of Jesus Christ. If a person can believe what human beings have written and lied about all these years, why not give the Bible a chance? Where mankind got his laws from. It's wrong to steal, kill, lie on your neighbor, so on and so forth. These laws came from Gods laws.

Believers and non-believers are all noble, rational, human beings.
Any one who realized this fact would naturally and thankfully return to the One One God, Who creates man with the rational sense to soar up to the heavens. Believers make confirmation about this fact, because the Messengers of God say that all are His servants and abide by His biddings.

Their religion requires it Matthew 28:19,20 is the great commission which most Christians use as their excuse, I am sure other religions like Islam has commands like this also.

I can't stand those people that go door-to-door. I'll usually ask some of the same questions you did and they have no answer for me so I tell them to come back when they get a clue.
That is when we get them now because ever since my brother answered the door naked we've only had one come back.

Love, for both them and G-d.
G-d doesn not want any to be lost, but all to be saved. He commanded us to go into all the world, preacha nd make disciples.
Please dont take it personally! Its not to offend. If they wanted to offend you there would be easier ways! Salvation is not a joke or is it done for offense. Its done out of love. Hope you can take a leap out of your own head, open the mind and see it from someone else's shoes.
Bless you

They claim that it is what god has told them to do...they are suppose to witness to the world. Call me crazy but I don't think we should go around trying to convert others to our personal beliefs. Live and let live.
