Your mother sounds like a first class selfish b@tch. Do not let a loser like that bring you down. You have nothing to repay.

Are the two of you talking,if so call and say that you want just the two of you to get together. You know what your mother likes, don't feel insecure because you feel hurt about what happend but let her know what happened with you and the little girl. Her being a mother she might have a little compassion about that but let her know that she is your mom and that all you were trying to do was give a little girl a little of the love that your mother gave you but there is no one that can ever take her place in your life, then appologize, hug her and then just the two of you go somewhere special just for the two of you.Now if she wants to hold on to this bad memory, let time take care of it but call her frequently to say I love you.

You could write her a letter telling her how sorry you are and how much you love her. Mothers are quick to forgive their kids, and your mom was a kid once too and she knows how she was at your age. It is only natural to want to stay with your friends. Instead of getting her make up, try getting her a card that says, "Lets make up, Mother". She will cherish that forever, I have a letter my daughter wrote me when she was 13 and we had had a fight, she wanted to say she was sorry, just didn't know how. Try this and see if it works, ok?
