But if you really want to get a close view of "Ground Zero" take the PATH train at the World Trade Center stop ($1.50 fare) and go to Jersey City. Once at Exchange Place go take the PATH train back to the World Trade Center stop.

Take subway A, C, J, M, 1, 2, or 5 south to Fulton St,/Broadway Nassau. Start at Liberty and Church Streets and proceed west on Liberty St.
