NOT Suave (or Suave Naturals) or Herbal Essenced!!! Their names (especially the Naturals and Herbal parts) are decieving and they DO test on animals- I used to use them, but I stopped when I learned of their testing!
I'm soooo glad you don't want to use any brand that tests on animals- it's so cruel! I like VO5- it's cheap, readily available @ Walmart, target, drug stores, etc, and isn't tested on animals! It seems to be one of the only common brands that's kind to animals...
I hope this helps!

I know people think that salon products are very expensive but they are not! I would recommend Joico products. If you go to the right salon you can get a liter of shampoo or conditioner for $10-$15.

The best is the new brand just coming out called Organix. It has organic active ingredients, is sulfate free so it won't dry out your hair, and is NOT tested on animals. Plus, the fragrances are awesome! You'll be able to get Organix over the next few weeks at Kroger, Target, Albertsons, Duane Reade, Harmon, etc. You'll love it! Its exactly what you're looking for!

I really like Tigi Catwalk Oatmeal Honey Shampoo and also their conditioner. It leaves my hair healthy, strong and conditioned. I also use their Camera Ready Shine spray - but use just a couple of squirts bc it's really intense.
Another excellent shampoo is Paves (Walgreens). It's in a blueberry colored bottle. It has no sulfates and gives tremendous shine....but... I don't like their conditioners bc they are too heavy.
Garnier Fructis Hair masque is awesome when you need a little more conditioning power and it's inexpensive.
