For some reason or another, not enough.

The company I work for actively recruits women out of local universities, and we usually have no more than one or two out of fifty engineers, at any given time. Currently we only have one female in the department, and she is a Mechanical Engineer.

At my school there were about 6-8 women in a class of 80, so about 20%. My school was University of Waterloo in Canada.

It's higher in other disciplines, Chem approached 50%.

It's higher depending on the school you attend.
