I don't think that my deities would care one way or the other. However, it would matter a lot to my husband, employer, police, and lungs.

There's a huge stigma attached to smoking pot in this country because it's against the law. So it driving above the speed limit - but that doesn't stop too many Christians from doing it. The danger of doing it is not so much in the act but getting addicted to the feeling you have from smoking - obviously a good feeling because you still remember it and desire it now! I'm curious what a Christian from Amsterdam (where MJ is legal - in coffee houses) would say to your question.

Yes, it is illegal and Christians are supposed to obey all laws of the land except any law that forbids worship to God. If you claim to be Christian and willingly break any law including running red lights and speeding, you are not living the Christian life. PERIOD. Do you Christians not realize laws are for our protection and do you not realize how many deaths are caused by someone willingly running stops sings and red lights and speeding?
Christians are above all that. I am not talking about the occasional speeding unintentional or the weak times, but the continuous willingness to disobey ANY LAW.
If you think a law is unjust, then lobby to change it.
God is blaspheme by the actions of Christians. Do you even care?
Christians claim they are so concerned about lost souls that they use this as an excuse to force their beliefs on others, but do you realize that if you run a red light and kill an unbeliever that YOU HAVE CAUSED THIS PERSON TO GO TO HELL ? Aren't you better off obeying laws and saving lives so that you can witness to them?

For the born again by God's Spirit believer, then their body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, so it would be wrong to smoke pot or anything else. Why put rubbish in your body, which is going to cause harm? Read Psalm 139.

Genesis 1:11-12
11And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Where does it say, "God saw every plant was good, EXCEPT marijuana"?
