From Answers.com -

A single strand can potentially carry a weight of up to 100 grams; holding this in theory, and with proper technique, a full head of human hair could eventually hold between 5,600 kg and 8,400 kg (12,345-18518 lbs).

However, this doesn't mean it wouldn't hurt -a whole lot-, but as long as the strands or follicles did not break, and you could take the pain, it would hold you indefinitely.

That depends on how large you are, because the bigger you are, the more pressure would be going to your scalp, and therefore the less amount of time you could hang there.

It'll hurt no matter what, though.

Ow don't fancy trying that one out. At a guess though about 10 seconds before your scalp ripped off... how pleasant

I think it would all depend on the length, thickness, and health of the hair!! I would think it would hold for quite a while though!!

your hair is strong enought to withstand any amount of pulling and if it is virgin hair it could hold your weight for a very long time.
