i didn't know till i got sick...when ur phycally&mentally normal, u should live ur life as if it is ur last one..coz really, we only have 1. i thought dat i wasn't going to make it through..but here i am sending a message 2 evryone...dont take evrything for granted coz we all know dat once it's gone..it's gone 4ever there's no coming back..take it from a person who almost died...we all have a purpose here on earth..

Biologically, the point is to reproduce and pass your genes on to the next generation, and to have your offspring survive to reproduce, passing a portion of your genes on to the next generation. That's fundamentally what all species do: they exist, and they reproduce. Once they've reproduced, there's no need to continue to exist unless they can reproduce again, or they belong to a species that cares for its offspring to improve their chances of survival. In evolutionary terms, "success" means the survival of your hereditary material. That's accomplished by reproduction.
One could also argue that the point of life is to contribute to the advancement of human society, whether that's through scientific discovery, cultural achievements (art, literature, etc.), or just keeping some little piece of society functioning (even if it's the most basic, fry-cook type of job, that fast food restaurant needs staff). But one could also argue that the purpose of advancing society is to increase the chances that your decedents will survive and continue to reproduce.

To perpetuate itself and to be a carrier of energy as there can be no creation or destuction of energy. We are simply the next step in the energy chain to be soon replaced by a more efficient system (soon in a cosmic sense). all this efficiency eventually condensing so efficiently till it reaches a single point and explodes- Big Bang

I ask myself this all the time and I guess while we are alive we will never know - then again maybe when we are dead we may never know either!
I think the point is to do what you want as long as you don't deliberately hurt others and make their life bad!!!

that depends if you have any hobbies, interests, friends, loved ones etc that you want to be with. Or if your like me and have a circular existence (live for the sole purpose of living), so to answer the question yes there is a purpose to life.
