Is there such thing as your eyesight stablising as you get older, although i know as you get older your eyes get weaker? As i have been wearing glasses since i was 6, and wear contacts too - my optician wants to increase my prescription. I find my current prescription fine, yet i would like to know if i remain with my current prescription will this cause problems in the long run? My worry is that my lenses will keep becoming stronger...

I've been wearing glasses for nearly 20 years (I'm 33 now). During my teens whilst I was still growing, my short-sightedness got worse. My optician told me that this was normal. Since I hit 18 or so, my prescription has changed very little and not at all over the last decade.

My optician says that if you are short sighted then as you get older you tend to go other way. Dont know why but when we went Jamaica seem my eyes were better. Asked Opt and said it cause you squint in sun. I wear lenses but it seems that i now need glasses for reading as well
