Somewhere around the time I found out Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny weren't real, about 9 or 10. I didn't learn what the word atheist meant until I was 15.

I had lotsa doubts since I was conscious, say like 6 or 7. Then I struggled with the idea for years. When I was 16, I made up my mind about it. Now I'm a happy atheists, and I plan to stay that way for ever.

I was a Christian until I was 14, but always questioned and doubted the entire religion. Until I was 16, I really didn't know what I was, until I realized that I'm agnostic. I believe that if God exists, we have no way of knowing or possibly understanding, I compare it to a bunch of cockroaches trying to understand a human. But I do not completely eliminate the possibility of a God, I don't believe I have any sort of authority to dismiss a God 100%.

In my mid-teens, I liked mythology, Norse, Egyptian, it was exciting stuff, but the more I loved science the less I could reconcile the fact that no matter how fun it was it was also silly superstition and you can't think properly and be open to such faith-based gibberish.
So I'd say mid-teens but it wasn't a sudden moment, it was just thinking about reality and religion and seeing that it just didnt stand up to any kind of scrutiny. There's no need for God to explain anything, if he existed, why does he exist, why did he create anything, just to suck up to him? Its like the religion was created for dumb people who wanted to be led like sheep.
Atheism is something people should come to on their own, from asking their own questions. I cant have respect for an atheist who never thought about religion or one who stopped believing in God because so many bad things happened - those are people just angry at god.

I was around 16. That was about the first time when I realized that the entire concept of God just didn't make sense to me, for many reasons.
