Why must there be a god? Why can't you people stand on your own two feet? Must you have a post to lean on?!?!?!?!? Religion was a product of the dark ages, fear, tyranny, etc and the church WAS the State! It was a means of controling the populace. Don't believe that? Look at Islam today. Those idiots BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!! To the point that they vaporize themselves in the hopes of getting a couple of virgins. (I think that virginity is HIGHLY OVER RATED and should be disposed of as quickly as possible. Will volunteer if asked, but I'm sure your b/f has a back seat.) Today religion is still about control but now it's about MONEY too - keep those cards and letters comin' folks...

When you're a creator sometimes things go wrong and you have to try again. When God made this universe he could see right away that it was a bad job and he chucked it into the trash and forgot about it. That's why your prayers don't get answered -- God abandoned this universe and went off to make a better one.

Sorry, I know some of you can't handle the truth.

He did it as an experiment. Barely 127 years after that he said "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth..."
Then he met Noah and they struck up a noble friendship.

In the time of the prophet Malichi, God said he might smite the earth with a curse, and see how that goes...

Later on, God commissioned Satan to establish a place of torment, and that is where most humans will spend eternity.

All in all, his experiment didn't turn out as he had intended.

It's really the other way around.

This world has created the concept of God - we do not know if any other society or group of people has come up with the same ideology.

Human being have searched far, but have not received an answer yet.

Because he wonted more then just a spiritual world, he wonted a place for creatures he made to have physical experiences so as to be better souls, to truly experience LIFE, to suffer to learn to grow

Peace.May the Spirit of God guide and direct you and protect you forever into eternity.

Shemus Would is right. It was an experiment that went awry. To salvage the situation God sent Jesus and reinvented himself as a God of love, but to no avail. Sadly most of humanity is fated for eternal punishment in Hell.

Well things were kinda quiet for God, so God created this world so God would have the background noise of constant bickering, and bytching.

There is no such thing as a God, for frick sake! why do people still believe in a supernatural God?
Where is your God when there are hurricanes?
Where is your God when there are tsunamis?
Where is your God when there are millions starving in Africa?
I could go on...
Why pray to stop hurricanes when you blinkin know what causes them?

Learn to believe in science and then maybe the world would be a better place!

We are all one though appearing in a cosmic ocean as tide pools. That which is dark and white, physical and mental... All one, no seperation.

If you really want to know, read Alan Watts THE BOOK, smoke some weed, take some x and meditate.
