In Christianity, one has to to believe in Jehovah and His son, Jesus Christ. Then, one must repent of his sins and be baptized, and then one is saved.
What must you do in Islam to be accepted into the faith? The use of verses from the Qur'an would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Well the most important thing is to say the Shahada which is declaring that there is no god but God and Mohammed is His messenger while of course believing it..
then comes the rest of the five pillars of Islam:
1) the shahada
2) Praying ( five times a day )
3) Zakat ( alms giving )
4) Fasting in the month of Ramada
5) Going for Hajj for who is able to do so..
and of course there are some things that are prohibited.. such as alcohol, illegal sexual relationship..and many other thing.. God put limits to everything and prohibited what cause us damage ..

Go to the mosque and recite your shahada. Do not be discouraged and continue to believe in Allah has being your God. Even if you do not follow all of the rules of Islam continue to pray that one day you will. Islam is a faith of God, so don't let anyone turn you away from your faith

There is a sura called Ikhlas meaning that God is one. It is one of the last suras. It means in general to say that God is One.
This you must believe with every fibre of your being. Your soul must believe this. Your soul does not believe it and does not want to believe this forget it. I believe that we are our souls; it's my concept not a Muslim concept.
You must believe in Jesus, but in a different way. You must believe in Jinn, the Devil, and the Angels. You must be prepared to take a knocking as you will see or have seen on this post; nowadays believe in Islam (submission to God) is not for the weak or faint hearted. Belief in any faith is not for the faint hearted for that matter.

Testify that there is no God but God(ALLAH) and that Muhammed(PBUH*) is the messenger of God. Pray 5 times a day. Fast during Ramadan. Do Hajj once in your lifetime. Don't drink alcohol, smoke, do drugs, don't eat pork, and certain other foods, give Zakah to the poor, don't have sex before marriage, if your a woman wear the hijab, niqab, and abaya. If your a man get circumcised.

accept tha mohammed was the greatest person on earth, even though he married a kid when he was in 60.
accept that all those idolators killed by him were sinners, for just following their faith.
muslims accept this, or face this question when ever you praise islam.

1.believe in god(one god for all human he is not human ) and his prophet and his angels and his books and day of judgment
2. believe without work as believer will mean nothing
3. guide others to believe in god(it`s not rule) but it`s so important
