Don't drink alcohol. Seriously, there is no magic "cure" for a hangover, but there is a prophylactic. When you get back from your night on the booze, drink AT LEAST one, preferably one and a half pints of water. This combats the dehydration which is at the root of most hangover symptoms. The difficult bit is a.) remembering to do it, and, b.) forcing yourself to do it, when you get home in a state of being tired and emotional...as a newt!

WARNING!:
Never combine acetaminophine, Tylenol products, with alcohol. It is very dangerous. Both are processed by the liver. The stress on the liver is sometimes too great resulting in failure. Combining alcohol and Tylenol has resulted in many deaths. Use something else for the headache.

Hangovers occur because of toxins in the system and dehydration. Time takes care of the toxins unless extreme. Drinking water while drinking alcohol as well as after helps with the dehydration. Beware since this itself can make you sick to your stomach. Also, not drinking so much helps. The fewer toxins, the less severe the symptoms.

English fry usually does the trick, but if you're not a big fan of blood sausage (:P), just drink as much water as you possibly can before you go to sleep that night- drink water until you phisically can't drink anymore water. You will wake up with no hangover.

Time only time works. Do not believe people when they tell you to drink some awful mix or a beer because having more alcohol only prolongs your hangover. All that will work is time, time for the alcohol to get out of your system because our bodies act like alcohol is a poison and that's why we get sick when we drink a lot or certain types of alcohol.

If it is available, pure oxygen because your brain is deprived of it. It is the best solution there is, Paramedics use it all the time, when they have a hangover the next day at work

A friend once told me to drink 2 Motrin/Tylenol right before going to sleep with 8 oz glass of water ( or more water if possible)... works pretty well if you can coordinate yourself to do this. When I've drank too much, this always helps me the next day.
