I've just seen Casino Royale and I think the British must have the best trained spies in the World.
Is this the case ?

While the Chineese for one have been using spies for over 2500 years (documented in Sun Tzu's Art of War) and that by the time Imperial China fell they probably were some of the best.
However, the British pretty much invented modern intelligence and counter-intelligence agencies and are considered by many including myself as being some of the best in the world.
However, please note that Casino Royale is a movie, and while James Bond's creator, Ian Fleming, did a stint as an intelligence officer and that Casino Royale is inspired by some of his personal experience (trying to fleece foreign agents at a casino, that is), it remains a work of fiction.

Movies and reality rarely or never are the same. Even if the movie is based on reality. My guess would be that the country who's spies we don't know about would be the best spies.

Actually in real life the 007 character would be a horrible spy and immediately removed from service after any of these "missions"

Its not always fact on film sorry to spoil any illusions you have.If we believed all we saw on film the Americans single handed won the second world war.
