It never ceases to amaze me how many people here recommend situps and crunches.

You will never see sculpted abdominal muscles if fat is covering them. You need to engage in cardio and eat healthy.

Here's more of a description. I have found out that people usually quit dieting and exercise because they try to do too many things too fast. It is not smart , in my opinion, to diet and add cardio all in one shot.

From my experience, you need to start up the cardio first. I am not talking about doing 45 minutes to an hour of jogging on a treadmill. I am talking about cardio that takes your heart rate up to 170-190 bpm with intervals where you let your heart rate drop to 130 bpm. You can google "high intensity interval training" to get a better idea of what I am talking about, but let me give you one example.

After a 10 minute warmup you can get on a bike, treadmill, or stepper. One example would be to go all out on the machine for one minute followed by an easy one minute that will let your heart rate stabalize then repeat as many times as you can.
I still remember the first time I did such a workout I could not go more than 5 minutes.

1st, its alot to do with genetics. If you have big hips, or naturally big boned, not much will make you look like that
2. If you aren't those, then yes cardio and weight lifting will help. Yes, weights. Semi-muscular females are called 'toned". if yr toned, you'll look like that
3. Diet. Eat healthy balance of protein, carbs and fat.
4. Wait. it will take a few months to get there (dependign where you are now). Nothing worthwhile is quick with your body. If it happens quickly, expect it to go back to the way it was quickly.

Be yourself... it is unhealthy to be that skinny if you are not naturally that skinny, its ok to want a flat stomach, and you can achive that by doing crunches and sit ups, you can slim your thighs by doing legs excersizes on a treadmill or running outside, its important to love yourself for how you look and its ok to want to improve your looks but dont try to look like others just be the best you, you can be. i if you are not naturally that skinny dont try to achieve it becuase it is almost impossible becuase most people are not natually that skinny and it is very unhealthy becuase you probaly want to be eating if you are TRYING to be that skinny. so be yourself and love yourself and be the best you you can be. because trying to aheive some elses body will only hurt you and your confidence and health in the future.
