I use a program called DVD shrink to copy dvds to my computer, i think its one of the best ones out there. its free off the internet and its only one MB. it copys the movies fairly fast. if you are trying to burn a dvd to put in a player and play on your tv. the need to me the ifo, and bub and vob files for the player to see them right. unfortunatly i do not know of a program that will convert avi to vob files. the thing is, if it is a avi file, when you burn it to a dvd there will be no menu to select scenes or any thing. those are the ofi and bub files. the main vidio is the vob. if you can't find a way then just use dvd shrink to recopy the dvds to your hard drive and reburn them.
