If it has stopped b;eeding with direct steady pressure, you could make a butter fly bandage and pull the edges together. Apply an ice bag or ice in towel to it also, that will retard the bleeding and reduce the swelling.Try not to get it wet. I really think it would be wise to get it stitched, but I understand your circumstances. Couldn't a friend take you to the ER? When was the last time you had a tetanus shot? Don't worry about the PJs we see them all of the time...no problem!

It depends on whether you want a big scar or not. If it has stopped bleeding, you will probably be fine, but you may have damaged some nerves. It may not heal real well without medical attention. If you decide to not go to the clinic, make sure it is clean, use an antibiotic ointment and watch it carefully. DO NOT TAKE ASPIRIN-it is a blood thinner.

well it really depends. if the bleeding has stopped that a good sign. it really depends on how deep the cut really is. sometimes they wont even worry about stitching unless it effects a major part of your body. as anyone would tell u . its your choice. whatever u think is best. i always say. good luck

These type of deep cuts usually heal well with a bandaid or steristrip applied. the fact it has stopped bleeding means no major vessel has been breached Either way you will have a scar

Buy some steri strips from your chemist and keep them handy. If you feel the wound is deep then place the steri strips over them, they are just like having stitches but painless. They are like a very sticky narrow plaster that when placed across the wound keeps it in place. You may need to use 2 or 3 depending on the length of the would. Using these lessons the amount of scarring also.

If it stopped bleeding, it should probably be ok. Just keep it dry, if still hurts on Monday call your doctor.
