the guy is not a virgin, but you are. and the two of you have sex for the first time with eachother. before you guys even had sex, he knows you were a virgin. the first time however, he doesn't talk much at all, but the second time he really talks a lot, and is really caring, he physically helps you out, and constantly asks if you are alright, and tells you to tell him when to stop and when it hurts. and the second time feels more like a first time.

is this normal?

Perhaps he was too excited because she was a virgin to care if she was pleasured appropriately. For many people being with a virgin is a too strong of a turn on and let that override any natural sensibilities towards the situation. On the other hand, perhaps he needed to concentrate in hopes of not hurting her, and that is why he didn't say anything or he just wanted to get it over with so that the next time would be more pleasurable. Some people think the first time can not be pleasurable if you are a virgin.

the word "normal" is so subjective. while i don't think this happens with every encounter, i don't see anything "abnormal" about it. it's possible that the first time, the guy was so nervous about the girl being a virgin that he didn't want to talk, or, after the first time he thought about all the things he should have done/said, and did them the second time.

"Normal" is hard to define. However, what might have happened is that the guy realized he hadn't been as caring and gentle as he should have the first time, and so decided he would be the second time around. He probably felt guilty for not treating the girl better the first time, and wanted to make sure she felt better about it the second time.

He was probably just excited and nervous the first time... then he though about it and realized that maybe he was not being very attentive to your needs and decided he had better be more of a gentleman.

With the breaking of the hymen, the first time a woman has sex can be very painful. A guy must be gentle and stretch the membrane, or it will break and bleed.
Afterwards, with the hymen gone, a girl can enjoy sex.
