I have a 351w bored 0.30 over, 9.0:1 comp. . Other mods include fully ported GT40X heads, 1.6 roller rockers, 286, 292 dur., .542", .575" solid lift flat tappet cam, ported performer rpm intake, Holley 780 vac. secondary carb, 1 3/4" full length headers and all msd ignition. Can anyone take a guess at what the horsepower rating might be? My guess would be around the 400 mark. Sound about right or am I over or under estmating?

With 9:1 compression, you are over estimating a bit. You have to get to at least 10 or 10.25 to get nearer the 400 horse mark with the goodies you mentioned. So probably around 300 to 350 is more like it. Get some flat top or "pop-up" pistons to get the compression ratio up and thereby increasing the horses. And while the 351C may make more horses with the canted valve style heads, let's face it. It has been 33 years since Ford has made one, so you are wise to go with the Windsor style for the sake of parts availability.

,without knowing what type of fuel octane this can give you a plus/minus of about 25 horses. I'm wondering about your lift and your duration. the ramping seams way too aggressive to allow high rpm power range with the duration being that short. Looks like a lot of valve train movement for no upper end power gain. I would guess about 355-380 at the flywheel. I wonder who came up with this combination. Spend all that money to be a "torquer" --not a bad combination--just interesting
Most engine builders go for the 351c--basic engine has 100 more horsepower out of the box and are cheaper to build up to higher levels because of head bolt size, better flowing heads, ect...................

I agree with rip. Those figures sound right. It probably peaks at 4500rpm
