Point out very politely that the back of the queue is thataway. Most people who cut queues do so because they think that others will not challenge them. If you do challenge and they still do not move then you will know that they are an ignorant moron. If someone does this to me I may even point out their behaviour to counter staff in a large booming voice. Now everyone in the room knows and usually counter staff would not serve this person because they make themselves look bad! This usually sends the queue jumper packing with their tail between their legs.
It just a big case of sticking up for yerself!

well if dont want to go to jail for fighting over a frickin line cut just inform the person that your were there first or tell the manager....make sure you let it be known to the person so you dont come off a a wimp to the other people in line or your friends/family....so much can escalate over a little nothing

Easy, say, "Excuse me? I was in front of you, so, can you, like, go to the back of the line??"
If not, tell them, " Miss/Mrs./Mr./Sir, are you in a rush? Well, why dont you settle down, and go to the back of the line!"

Go for the side of the neck with a judo chop. You can usually take down a normal person in one good hit.

I hate to get in to fights with strangers.
I have been in this situation before and they always say no they were next and so on.
Just let their rude as$$ go by and be next in line.

I would say 'excume me'. If he/she ignores me then thats when I confront them. If there still standing there than I just cut he/she and let the one behind me confront that person.
