I had quit some jobs when I younger. I now have kids and a different attitude towards my future. No criminal record.

If you stick with things now you have a better chance. The best thing you could do though is get some college classes under your belt. The more education you have, the more points you score just by showing up.
Some departments require at least 45 hours of college and almost all of them require it to be promoted.
The military is another plus when you apply.
You are on the right track, but one of my friends took 3 tries to get on the Highway Patrol which is what he really wanted. He was a city police officer and was going to college at night.

Yes, you still have a chance. Most police applicants don't get denied because of past work ethics or minor infractions with the law. The reason is that the lie on the application or during a polygraph. When you fill out the application be as honest as possible. They are mostly looking for trustworthiness. Hope this helps.

I say you have a good chance of getting offers of becoming a police officer. Im not sure how fast you will get an offer because of just the fact there is not a high demand for cops but hey I say go for it. also maybe do crime justice classes it helps alot if you have more knowledge to go by. good luck

Yeah, you have chance. You have to get a really high mark on the test though.Once you are canvased you will go through the psycological evaluation, the physical and a private investigater will talk to you and your neighbors. Just make sure to tell the truth about everything because they will find out.
