We, humans are the only species that cares - WE are the ones who makes the list.
And what's really ironic - we are responsible (in most cases) for putting the animal on that list in the fist place! - Figure that one out!

Lots of reasons, but they all come back to humans.
Disease - usually comes from domestic animals sharing their territory, or from starvation due to lack of feeding grounds which leads to a weakened state which invites in disease.
Starvation - from lack of feeding grounds because humans built up houses and strip malls all over it, or because we've killed their natural predators, they overpopulate, and then starve off.
Loss of habitat - last I checked, the Cheetahs were not engaging in land development so again, chalk that one off to humans.
Overhunting, poaching - humans again. Even after a massive attempt to reintroduce the Arabian Oryx to the Arabian desert, the poachers are wiping them out again.

Causes?? Usually humans. Not always though.
Most common reasons of population decline (to go to the endangered status): loss of habitiat, food, cover, water, overhunted, can't live in close proximity to humans, and are too specialized on one type of food (ex pandas just eat bamboo)

Because people kill them.they should come up with a virus to kill us off to just a few million left of us humans
or one day the only wild life with be no longer wild life and they will all be only seen in zoos.
The pollution. global warming.the taking of the Land the animals live on and just shooting them and trapping them.is killing them off, about a species a DAY is being wiped out of existence on Mother earth.
God made them all as well as us humans.. its a sin to kill them off the way humans do
Peace

Many factors can endanger animals:
-- habitat destruction
-- alien or nonnative species taking over the niche
-- loss of food species, living space, etc.
-- habitat degradation (pollution, other environmental stress, etc.)
-- disease
-- over hunting or over collecting

"Specie" refers to useful steel. "Species" is the two singular and plural. not often, over-searching is the foremost element in endangering or wiping out a species, e.g. the passenger pigeon. Overwhelmingly, the reason for problems is loss of habitat.
