I am in the 9th grade. I want to find out if this girl likes me. but i am shy. I will talk to here as a friend but its hard to talk about anything like that becuase i am afraid. So i hide behind my funnyness. I am in good shape. I workout and have a nice body and i have confidence but i am so shy.

Well I'm in 9th grade too and I really like this guy. We pretty much talk with each other as a friend too, and I wish he would bring it beyond that. Although sometimes he asks me who I like and I don't tell him! Maybe just casually bring it up in a conversation and see what she says. How can she not like you when pretty much all 9th grade boys are jerks, and you seem like you're a rare nice 9th grade boy. Also, funny and in good shape. Just keep talking to her and make sure you guys have a good friendship. With friendship comes more confidence with each other and then you'll be able to talk about more things! Good Luck!!

Hang out with her. You don't need to come clean and tell her you like her. Go to the mall, watch movies, hang out together and get to know her better. Once you do, and you're more comfortable around her, you should ask her to a school dance or something. Then if you feel a connection at the dance or anywhere else for that matter, try holding her hand, putting your arm around her, or just lean in and kiss her (on the cheek if you're not 100% sure she likes you, this way if she doesn't she won't get as mad). Pay attention to her body language when she is with you. If she laughs alot, seems like she wants to be close to you physically, and makes eye contact with you alot, chances are she likes you. If u guys are friends, then why dont u ask her if she would like to hang out sometime..but makes this serious since she knows u can be funny and it might come out as a joke. If she says yes then way to go, if she says no then u can turn the situation around and tell her a funny story about when u were hanging out with friends once...then when u two hang, u can tell her u like her. U will get the honest truth

It sounds like to me that you are not shy but afraid. If you do what you always do then you will get what you always get. In this case it will be nothing because you will be afraid to find out who your lifemate really is and will settle for the first girl that see's you as easy pickens and takes the things that belong to you away and leaves you in a heap of shyness for the next opportunist. For God sake's man, take your balls out of your notebook and wear them as intended and stop missing out on the things that were meant for you. Ignorance is bliss, I don't think so! Ignorance is loss on an incredible scale. Find another weakness if you have to have one but stop being afraid of women and calling it something else. It sounds good but you are not fooling anyone unless you believe that dribble and then you are only fooling one. Seems kind of sensless to me to have a fear of a domesticed gender that is dangerous only to the weak of their opposite. It is guys like you that they feed on to make themselves feel superior to the male gender.

You sound just like my friend. Just tell her you like her. If it bugs her, ignore her. It should never bug a person if someones attracted to them. I don't think you should just go up to her and ask her if she likes you though. Be creative. If you flat out tell her, she'd think it's the only thing on your mind. Whether it is or not, it can seem creepy. Just slyly change the conversation right under her nose, and then ask.
