I think we've all experienced this. You get really hungry but can't eat, and after 30 minutes or so, you dont feel hungry anymore.

I know how energy is stored as fat. My question is, why is hunger temporary.... (that is, even if you don't eat, the feeling goes away)??

The acids themselves provide nourishment from insolubles when the pH lowers enough to make them soluable when the acid is by itself rather than diluted with food.

Add a little water poof instant breakfast already eaten and digested before its made.

Stomach acid. When your hungry and don't eat the stomach acid starts churning and it pulls your stomach inward to help with the hunger. Unfortunately it does have damaging result, erosion and acid reflux. I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY I starved myself to lose weight and am now pay the price for it.

Your liver stores fuel short term that it will use when needed, if you don't use it the liver will store the energy as fat.
