Our first and far most friend should be God. So ask the question ..........is he or she friends with God? Do they respect God's word and live their lives accordingly.

What is there to work out? My best friend is a Christian and I am a neo-pagan. It's no big deal. We respect each others views and don't feel the need to agree on everything. We support and encourage each other to follow the path they are called to. We treat each other with the same politeness and respect that we would like. Basically, we treat each other like friends.

I am atheist. Among my friends I count atheists, agnostics, Orthodox and Reformed Jew, Christians of many denominations, pagans, Muslims, an Assembly of God clergyman and a non-denominational clergyman. Be friends with the Person, not with the religion.

Simple. Respect each other's rights to believe how you choose, agree to disagree, and enjoy your friendship. If you are really good friends and like each other a lot, what does it matter what religion each of you are? Just agree to disagree, don't try to enforce your spiritual viewpoints on one another, and there you go.

You just need to respect each other's beliefs and not focus on it during a friendship. I'm atheist and I have christian and muslim friends and we all get along great!

Unless you are Christian or Muslim, (or if he is and you aren't) you probably can. However, if you are one of those 2, stick with your own, cuz it aint gonna work if you are Christian and they are...wiccan for example, or vice versa.
