How about Sanibel or Captiva Islands off the coast of Fort Myers? They have the most spectacular sunsets, perfect for a wedding! Also known for their white sands, shelling, and wildlife. I have no used the link below but it may be a good start.

It totally depends on where in Florida is close but here's a few suggestions from when I lived in Florida:
Orlando area:
Renaissance Resort @ SeaWorld
Do the wedding in the Atrium in the center of the hotel.
St. Petersburg:
Renaissance Vinoy
Hutchison Island:
Hutchison Island Marriott Beach Resort & Marina
There are many beautiful locations within the resort where you can have the ceremony and the reception.

I depends what part of FL, what time of year, and your budget. If you have a large budget, there are some beautiful resorts like the Don Cesar and Renaissance Vinoy in St. Petersburg. They are both absolutely beautiful. On a smaller budget, there are places like the Kapok Special Events center, Lange Farm, Davis Islands Garden Club, Sunken Gardens, and places like the FL aquarium and botanical gardens that can be rented out. For smaller 'destination' weddings, Key West offers a lot of nice options as well. Check theknot.com and look at the local resources for venues. It's a good place to start for ideas. For something really different, and a little fun, there is something called weddings on water. It's a floating chapel. VERY different. Good luck!

There's a place called Cypress Gardens where they have butterfly gardens, I havn't been there in years and I don't know if they do weddings, but they had the most beautiful gardens there... There's also a Japanese garden (I can't remember where right off hand) somewhere near Jacksonville or Tampa. When I lived in Saint Augustine, people married at the Casa Monica and at my college (Flagler). Saint Augustine is a beautiful city.
I know theknot.com has a section on Florida, have your sister-in-law check it out!

i'm from the Northeast so no deep awareness right here... this could be too some distance...yet very final time I vacationed on Sanibel Island I went to view the sunset at Bowman's sea coast. i grew to grow to be lounging around and a harpist have been given right here to the sea coast and began partaking in...and then extraordinarily much right this moment after - the bride and groom. They married approximately 50 ft away. It grew to grow to be so spectacular! i won't be able to have the skill to assist on the greater effective Northern beaches yet i could say Gulf View sunset could desire to be an astounding historic previous on your pictures...
