maybe not 2 pounds each week allllll the time, but how much do you usually lose a week if you stick to weight watchers?

I know it's worked for some people I work with.

It is based on counting your calories, and if you are limiting your calories, then you will lose weight. I don't like the fact that they don't stress the importance of exercise as much as watching what you eat. You really need to be doing both.

But, if what they say makes sense to you, then go for it. Most likely it will be a step in a healthier direction than what you are doing now. Just don't fall into the trap of going "on" weight watchers, only to go "off" weight watchers. You should be learning HOW you should be eating for the rest of your life.

Weight Watchers works well. You lose the most the first week, and then it tapers off to up to two pounds a week. Some weeks you might only lose 3/4 a pound. But hey, that's how the weight went on, so that's how it's gonna come off.

It's a good steady way to lose weight, and that's the best way to keep it off.

I have some friends on it. It's a good support system. The best way to lose weight is to have people in the same league supporting you. I think that's one reason a lot of people succeed in the program. Also, weight watchers not only help you lose weight but maintain your weight. Good luck.

It works very well--I was on it a year ago and it was the best diet I've tried. I just had trouble eating the same things everyday (which was probably my own fault for being lazy and not getting creative enough with my food choices). Like any diet, it's tough when you spend a lot of time at work or eat out often. But I recommend it to anyone, I know many people that have had long-lasting success with it.

I lost 17 pounds in 2 months and then was able to quit and lose 20 more on my own. It gives you a good start. Give it a try, the points system makes it easy.
