Only thing that works is diet and exercise. Pills will not work (no matter how many pill companies post on this site that they do)... even if they do, the moment you stop taking them, you will be back in the same habits that caused you to gain weight in the first place.
Adopt healthy habits bit by bit, and eventually you will be living a healthy lifestyle. Watch your calorie intake to make sure you are eating 1) a healthy, well-balanced diet and 2) not too much. You are looking for a calorie range between 1,200 and 2,000 calories per day.
What's easy - well, stop drinking your calories, and stop buying food that is bad for you. Skip the deep fried foods, don't cook in oils, eat plenty of veggies, and don't buy anything that is from the chip / soda / cookie aisle. If you don't buy it, you can't eat it. And, if these sources of empty calories is your main source of food for the day, replacing these with nutritious options will be an easy way to lose weight.

First and foremost get rid of all the crap in your house eg/ junk food. Then go pick up some healthy cook book. I love the Joy of Cooking, it's not necessarily low fat but there are some really yummy recipes. Pick out some healthy recipes and then go shopping for the ingredients. Also buy lots of fruit and snackable veggies eg/baby carrots, celery sticks etc...
And exercise!!!! Lots of walking is always great!
Soooo make sure to get rid of all the junk, eat healthy and lots of exercise. There really is no other healthy and safe way to lose weight.

Cranberry juice mixed 1/2 with water, a tablespoon of ground flax seeds, and 1 tablespoon of UDO's oil. Do this twice a day.
Include a serving of raw fruits or veggies three times a day.

Sarah S is totally right, drink lots of water (I am talking 4 litters a day)
Then cut the sugary foods and eat a grapefruit with breakfast everyday.

Obviously all the above answers are the best one's...a good tip to feel slimmer quickly is to eliviate bloating...try cutting out tea and coffee from your diet and replace them with green tea/peppermint tea etc...in the mornings a good first hot drink is boiling water with lemon!Sounds gross but it's actually quite nice!Also,cut out bread for a week...you'll feel slimmer in the short term!x
