I would not say all women are that way, however, it goes all the way back to the animals. A mature male of any species spends it's life strutting around trying to make the female notice him and mate with him.

I don't do this. Money to me means nothing. As long as i have enough to put a roof over our heads, clothes on our backs, and food to eat. I don't really see a need for money so i just put all our excess money in the joint bank account each month.
My wife never looked for a man with money, she had more than enough of her own. Which suits me just fine.

Exactly how backward are you? There are many, many women who spend their whole lives trying to attain wealth and many, many men who do squat and expect the women to support them!

I've seen it the other way around too! Not as common tho. Too many shallow people..that would be my guess!
