Don't put anything in your ear and don't listen to any of those answers that tell you it might be this or it might be that. . . some of those answers are pretty scary and probably aren't correct.
Have you taken your temp? Unless you have a raging fever I don't that you have little to be that concerned with.
Until you get in to see a Dr which though uncomfortable I suspect you will make it til Mon. I suggest you use a heat pack on the side of your head that is affected.
Aspirin will help with inflammation and what little fever you have.
You probably just got a good old fasioned ear ache and if it is more than that, there isn't anything you can do til you get in to see a Dr . . . oh all of those alarmists with their answers.

Go to a real doctor it sounds worst then she seen it was it could also be a tooth ache that can cause all of the same problems even pain in the ear but definatly dont leave it the way it is and run the risk of losing some hearing if it is a bad infection or an inner ear infection

Is the pain & swelling on the same side as the aching ear? If yes, then you should call your doctor right away. You may have a serious ear infection that needs to be treated. Do you have a fever? If you have a fever that is high, you should also call your doctor. Hope you feel better!

It sounds like you might have a dental problem. Sometimes an absessed tooth can cause all the pain you are experiencing even though none of the pain is felt in the mouth. What did the nurse mean, a small spot of red? Where? Hope this helps....

*Yikes* sry you are feeling so bad! (*(*Hugs*)*) If I were you, I'd go to the Emergency Room and get checked out! From what you say, it could be an infection. Also it could possibly be an absest tooth infected from the inside of the gum and nerves. Really it could be a number of things. (The onset of Mumps, absest tooth, interear infection, etc.) Definantly, take something you can tolerate for the pain! Maybe go to the ER and get some early treatment, then call your regular doctor and follow up with him/her. Sry I couldn't be of more help! !~~~~~~~~~~Sending you get well and feel better VERY soon vibes~~~~~~~~~! If I may,!?...... Another friendly (*(*Hug*)*) *Smiles* ♥~Peaches~♥

Get thee to a doctor. And quick! Sounds like a really bad infection somewhere. You don't want it to get into your blood stream and travel. Thaat would mean hospitalization. Good luck and get better soon.

just try this --it works for me
put 3 or 4 drops of pure aloe vera (warmed) in your ear and let it work its way down in there. A few hours later you should begin to get relief. Probly twice a day max, should do it.
