I have a very slight feeling of tingling across my upper lip and going up towards my face for the last couple of days. Can it be due to stress as I am seeing my dentist on Monday about a problem molar tooth? Otherwise I am fit and healthy.

It's anxiety. It causes you to not want to eat and get low blood sugar, so you get a numbness in your lip and face.

It'll pass.

This is probably because of:

*Irritation of the mouth from rough or broken teeth or fillings, appliances, dentures, foods, or tobacco.
*Allergies to foods, medications, mouthwashes, denture base materials, or metallic fillings.
*Infection, such as thrush or cold sores.
*Nutritional deficiencies.
*A sore in or near the mouth.
*Other diseases, such as diabetes.
*A problem with a nerve or the nervous system.

You may wait to see if the symptoms improve over the next 24 hours (or specified time period) if you answer "Yes" to the following question.

Do you have steady burning, tingling, or numbness inside your mouth or lips?

---
You need an appointment within the next 1 to 2 weeks if you answer "Yes" to the following question.

Yes Have you had burning, tingling, or numbness for longer than 1 week?

Make sure you tell your dentist

It could be although it sounds like a start of a cold sore.or it could be a sign of low potassium, I've had low pottasium before and had that problem... does it twitch? if so that supports the low potassium levels hypothesis, you can raise this by eating lots of bananas, but go to the doctors to have a blood test they're the ones with the knowledge and therefore can help you best.

Is there numbness? Can you move your lips?

It might be a mild Bell's Palsy, but it might be related to your tooth.

Good luck on Monday xx

I think you wanan kiss that girl/boy (i don't kwo what gender u are).
It may be a muscle in your lips that are shaking. Mucles do that often, I don't know why.
I think it's just a muscle and nothing much to worry about.
Good luck with that molar =/
me hopes me helped =D
