I just want to point something out:

I've noticed that non-vegetarians often say "if people didn't eat meat the world would be overpopulated by animals that would have been slaughtered". Every time I read that I want to laugh.

If everyone whent vegetarian (hopefully we won't have to wait long for that to happen) it would, however, happen gradually. Slaughter houses would slaughter less and less animals so they wouldn't be overbred. There would be no "extra" farm animals. Chickens could be used to make cage free eggs and cows could still be used to make organic milk.

Then people generalize vegetarians. They think they're all mean activists. I'll make a deal with you: I will not tell you to be a vegetarian as long as you don't tell me to eat meat. Okay?

What do you think about this? What do you think about vegetarians?

When I said "hopefully that will happen soon" I wasn't saying that it had to, just wishful thinking.

yeah, lol. You forgot the "canine teeth" and "lack of protein."And that God put animals on the Earth so we could eat them.My fav is "If God didn't want us to eat animals then why did he make them out of meat."That one makes me laugh everytime, don't people notice they are made out of meat also.

You already broke your half of the agreement. In your second paragraph you said "If everyone whent vegetarian (hopefully we won't have to wait long for that to happen)"

THATS the problem with you people. Not that you're vegetarian but because you also feel the need to control others through things like banning foie gras, and attempts to ban meat.

You have every right in the world to be a vegetarian. You DO NOT have a right to impose your dietary guidelines on others.

I say to those who are vegetarians.... More power too you! It is a person's individual choice whether to eat meat or not. There is nothing wrong with a person's decision not to eat meat. And I have to say that there is nothing wrong with a person's decision TO eat meat either.

I aint got nothin' against either one. Vegetarian or not, either could be my friend!!!!! :-D

When you come to dinner at my house, you will probably find meat on the table. I will make something strictly vegetarian for you if you tell me in advance that you do not eat meat. If I come to dinner at your house, will you make a meat dish for me?
