I'm from the North East and proud!! Not Scotland, but NE England and this is possibly the best area in the country. The towns are small and friendly, not quite taken over by Tesco, the people all say hi and goodmorning etc. even when you don't know them, we get snow in the winter and hot summers and in my town you can walk in any direction for about 5 minutes and you can reach a field or park.
I know someone from Sheffield and he always said that the NE was the best area because of that last point!
I live in County Durham

I'm "Northern" and I'd like to think I'm a "regular" person :) I have an education, a job, a house, a dog... I seem pretty regular to me!

No, that's what Hadrian's wall is for, to keep the irregular people away from us normal lot (sarcasm, no offence meant).
They are just the same, everywhere in the world, they fall in love, they can hate too, oh and when they bleed it's red just like yours and mine.

lol! I'm sorry but your question just made me giggle..
Afraid I don't know many people from the north...I knew one once from Leicester (is that North?)...anyway he was a lovely guy... not 'regular' as such, but really lovely :)
But then i don't believe there is such a thing as 'normal' and 'regular' is just plain boring..

I'd say more regular than Southerners now you ask.
I'm a Scot living in the South and to be frank, they are all just a wee bit weird (I'm married to one so I'm allowed to say that).

Northerners are the best in the country, good humour, know how to have a good time and can drink a southerner under the table. Our hospitality is second to none. :)
