Why would it take that long to get a dog?
What u have to do to get a pruebred is look through the classifieds in the new paper every week til you fine the breed you want. Then you call the people who own the puppy/dog, then you go to their house, look at the puppy's/dog's papers to see if he's realy purebred or not.
If you wanna mixed breed that's healthy, i say u do the same thing minus the dog's papers.
Have fun choosing a doggie =)

If you want a dog before two months, you can go to the shelters and look at ads or go to a web that sell dogs. But if you are asking why does it take two months to get a dog from a breeder, well the pups have to stay on their mother's milk and be completely wean off. this usually take up to two months and is considered the best for the pup. so if you already check on a pup then this is the number one reason for why it takes two months to get a puppy.

if you are looking to purchase a dog in 2 months, figure out what breed you want, and find a breeder, if they have up coming litters they can let you know. Or go to your local rescue/shelter, they have dogs all the time :)
