What's your favourite seaside town, and why?

Mine is Caister-on-Sea, Norfolk. It holds many memories, and the beach is fantastic.

I would LOVE to go to Great Britain one day. But for now, I only know of a favorite seaside town in the US: Wilmington, North Carolina. Beautiful little town with lots of friendly people. I would go back in a heartbeat! I'll bet that there are gorgeous seaside towns in Maine as well...

Ayr - 40 odd mile from Glasgow.... if the sun was shining you would think you were in Sunny Spain ...but dont take a deep breath in ...you can smell the sewage... I remember many a happy day paddling in lovely yucky sea...and then on for a day at Butlins..

Piss myself =]
Then I'd do my best not to become extremely annoying about it, *or* turn into some kind of psycho-stalker-freak. Staying sane is a pretty big goal, haha.

I'd find some reason to meet them, though. Sneak my dog into their yard, knock on the door, and be like.. "OH. Jo Rowling/Phillip Pullman/Lewis Caroll (even though he's dead)! Can you help me chase down my dog, please?"
You know, act all surprised.

Then hope to God that they didn't see me trying to hoist my golden retriever over their back fence, then hop over myself. That would be embarrassing.
