Lots of fat people in Hawaii. Lots of local people wear t-shirts and shorts in the water rather than skimpy bathing suits. Tell her to have fun and wear a smile. Smile makes everyone beautiful.

Oh my gosh - I felt absolutely svelte on the beaches there, and I've had two kids! I saw a woman who had to be at least 80 in a skimpy bikini - I didn't know the body could get so wrinkled EVERYWHERE like that. Then there's the two-ton tillies who like to scamper (lumber?) around in two-pieces so that they can get rid of all the blue-white winter tan (just like the rest of us). Of course you have the local hardbodies, too. Thing is, nobody really cares what you look like -everyone's just having too much fun in the sun.

oh my gosh - yes there is! this is actually kind of gross but funny all at the same time. the last day my family and i were over there, we seen a big woman (im talking probably close to 300lbs) laying out by the pool in a bikini and she was thinking she was hot stuff! so no dont feel self consious at all....

no anyone can go..I moved to hawaii from florida and to me that place is the end of the world....go to any beach in florida and there's MILLIONS of old guys wearing speedos.....it makes you want to cut yourself and go swimming hoping a shark will put you out of your misery

No. But you may feel more confident if you do. Try working out a little more before you go. You'll see results in just a few weeks. Do leg lifts, cruches, push ups everyday.
