I'm on it "24/7".. from MORNING till MIDNIGHT.
Please this is making me ill, i still want to be on the computer, but not ALL the time!! There's a life out there, you know!! but .. im addicted and I need to stop and only go on there when ive finished my homework and finished my house hold chores. Please, help??? Please, help.. this is very urgent.

like anything it is a habit and some habits are hard to break. i was in the same boat too. what i did was to write out a schedule when i would be on my computer. i would stick to it for a week then change it to less time and did that for a week. over time you will get used to it and the urge will be less. on the times you are not on your computer try doing other things you like to do as well. this will help you. this does work if you stick to it. it will take time but it also took you time to be addicted to the computer too. hope this helps..... randy

Any Obsession is a bad habit. Go to a 12-Step meeting. Remember to Blink your eyes if your staring at the screen for 24/7

Get a bf who's on the comp 24/7
hopefully he will ingnore the comp and want 2 spend time wt u
solving 2 problems at once

just make sure you find educational stuff to read...learn something. it will justify your time on the computer. I don't get a newspaper anymore but I read so much more online. Mix in this kind of stuff...answers...for fun. I have tv on, sports, etc. but it is in the background now. i don't hav to watch every minute...i think that is a bonus. I am more active mentally. good luck and don't worry about it. just make sure to drive somewhere regularly and get outside hobbies...that'll take 6 hours away from your computer time. stay balanced...

Change your hobby to going to the spa. Get a massage and relax. Computers are addicting and can stress you out. When you're on the computer, ask yourself, "Am I being productive?"

This will be tough. Stand up. Step back. Turn around. Leave the room. Go outside. Walk. Go to the mall. Go to a friend's place. Don't go back to the room until you're tired. Then go to bed.

wow i thought i was the only one but i got over it just gradually start taking an hour away a day and find a Hobie that you like to do with your spare time
