Great question and it makes sense too. Like the pope who was traveling in a "bulletproof popemobile". This goes to show the fallacies of religious teachings.

Christians don't embrace death! We do not fear it! We are secure in the knowledge that we serve the Only True God, The Giver of Life through His Son Jesus! We pray at the deathbed of our loved ones and ensure them that we will meet again in God's Kingdom at the time God chooses. Having a party to celebrate a loss seems morbid to me, but rejoice with Christ in Heaven for eternity is my goal in life and what I strive to acheive each day I am on earth. Those who know Jesus are just tourist in this world. Jesus has our tickets home, we're just waiting to board! Won't you come fly with us? We're boarding soon!

There are two sides to death. There is the evolved fear which is what moves us most and there is the acquired belief that there is life after death so maybe death isn't a bad thing. We are torn by the two. There is also the pain of losing a loved one - even if they are off to heaven we will miss them terribly.

We are a backwards society. We are happy when a baby is born and sad when a person dies. We should be sad at birth because there will be l long rough road to hoe ahead for that innocent babe, where as when a person dies, if they have accepted Jesus as their personal Savior, one should rejoice in their going home to be with the Father in heaven.
If a person died and never knew Jesus as their personal Savior , there would be justified in their sorrow, because they would not end up in heaven with the Lord, but with satan in hell.

Embracing life gets us closer to God. God wants people to live and enjoy life.
A preacher once said that some christians are so heavenly minded, they are no earthly good. lol

They enjoyed being able to sin it up on Earth so that they can be forgiven in the end and go to Heaven. Not trying to be a butthole but I'm sure there are people who enjoy this world, you know...

No one wants to die, and leave their family and friends. Life is precious to us, just like it is to you. Do you want to die? Why would you ever think that a Christian such as myself would want to die and leave behind , my husband, my children and grand kids? You must think we are inhuman, and that is the problem right there, those who are non believers think we are so different from yourselves, we are not, except we believe in Jesus.

I am looking forward to eternity. People cry at your deathbed because they will miss you. They are crying for themselves and for their loss. I celebrate my Grandmothers passing, but I miss her like crazy.

theres that gap, when you won't see that loved one for a while. Its like loving God every day, without a gap. you want to continue seeing that person. also, as long as the person is passing of old age, it would be sad and happy.

I don't embrace death, but I am not afraid of it. You are afraid to die because you are uncertain. I have the peace that passes all understanding. You need to ask forgiveness for your sins and ask Jesus to come into your heart. I will pray for you.
