Unless you want to do permanent damage to your teeth, which will cost you a lot of money to fix, do not attempt to remove your braces by yourself. The adhesive is very strong, and the orthodontist uses special clippers for that purpose.
Trust me, you don't want to try it. You will regret it.

You really DO want to do that, but really shouldn't! Did you just get them? I know it's painful but it does get easier. Let me start with a few pointers that may make you change your mind about ripping them out.
First of all, Congrats on your new braces! You are on a mission to obtaining a better smile not to mention having your teeth in perfect alignment! As for the pain, it's not uncommon for there to be a little pain because you have bands put on pushing teeth apart and strange wires and brackets all over the place. Your mouth is probably feeling pretty full right now. Do yourself a favor....don't push or rub on your lips, pushing against the brackets on your teeth can cause mouth ulcers and can be very painful. Use the wax the dentist gave you and eat soft foods today and tomorrow. Lots of ice cream, cold drinks or Popsicles! Your dentist prescribed Advil or Motrin for pain, so be sure to take it. Even today your teeth are on the move, but trust me, it does get easier and less painful after a few days. Every month you will be going back to see your dentist for adjustments. Sometimes it's a little uncomfortable for a day or so, but keep in mind how great your smile will be when it's all over! It will all be worth it in the long run. Some of my favorite patients are in ortho and it's always great to see their reactions when they finally get them off. It's usually one of hugs, kisses and Lots of looks in the mirror at their fantastic smile! Keep in mind, almost all of us have been there! Now go get some cold ice cream and eat up! Good luck!

So...white spots are areas of demineralization...it's where the calcium and fluoride are removed from your teeth and in turn leaves white areas of decay...these areas can re-mineralize and become whole again, just like you can fix little cavities by having great oral hygiene and fluoride habits. Last year shouldn't matter THAT much in your braces. You should be using a Fluoride toothpaste, rinsing with a fluoride rinse and drinking low sugar beverages frequently (preferably tap water, if it has fluoride in it...most well waters may not have fluoride in it, so be sure to get it tested to make sure it has adequate amounts to be beneficial) If you have already had "white spots" there isn't much you can do about it, the damage is done...the white spots are exactly what I described above, and will be permanent for the most part. If you take good care of your teeth, and brush regularly, and have great fluoride exposure, you should be safe from "white spots" Good Luck!!!

if you have braces, that means you probably need them and should keep them in. i wouldn't recommend taking them out. if you dont like them because of the way they look, then you're just gonna have to learn to live with it, but if you want to take them out because they hurt then i'd go to the dentist and get them loosened.

umm don't go to a dentist before you end up screwing your mouth up more--they aren't meant for you to take out yourself
