His absence during meetings, having to justify masonry because your friends and family dont understand.
What do you like about him being a prince hall mason? His status , what he does for the community etc.

I am from overseas (Germany) and i am caucasian, and i am dating a african american man who is a prince hall mason in a military lodge over here . I do have a lot of friends who are masons as well and my stepfather has been one for 30 years . Masonry is not that common over here in germany like it is in the US and a lot of people do not approve masonry or look at it in a good way . My man has achieved very much in his lodge and he is a great and powerful man full of purpose and he teaches other men how to become better men. But i have friends who really dont understand why i put up with him being gone so much for masonic purposes and they dont see why i look at him as the head of my house . He is a very strong man and has a lot to offer to the community and i always back him up and support his goals in every way. I am not an eastern star but i do think very highly of the brethren and what they do . I just wanted to get some opinions from the outside world on my situation . God bless

I would say definitely look at it as you currently are. Prince Hall Masons are an incredibly respectable group of Masons, and they truly do good for the community and for others. This only shows that he is a good man, and you shouldn't worry about what others think. If you love him, and you know that he is doing good work, then there should not be a qestion that he is right for you. If you explain that he takes a lot of time for masonry due to the amout of charitable work that he does, and explain that he is also busy running the day to day operations of a fraternal organization, they should not disapprove.

Well, I don't date one personally so I can't tell you how I feel. How do YOU feel? I would look at the man, himself, first and not because he is a ph mason.
