I have just counted the strands on a mini shredded wheat - 124. By volume they are 16x smaller than a normal shredded wheat. Therefore 124 x 16 =1984 strands. By my reckoning Ian Botham could manage 5952 strands.

the average number of strands on a shredded wheat is roughly 1,323. I just counted the strands on four typical Shredded Wheats and averaged it out for you.

depends on whether it's 200 or 300 strand count.... haha ! The more you payed for your shredded wheat... the more strands or threads !
