Or doesn't hair color matter? Is the face and physique of the body more important than hair color? If there were 3 physically attractive girls-one brunette, one blonde and one redhead, which hair color is most attractive/which girl would you want to ask out on a date? It seems some guys prefer blondes. If you do prefer blondes, why?

I don't have a preference. It's more about how it looks on her and how well she takes care of it.

I think that you are right to pose this question will 3 alike girls with only diff hair color, otherwise you would have been bombarded with answers stating it wouldn't matter what the haircolor is if the face and body were unattractive.
Myself, I have been all three colors, but I prefer blonde because guess what? So do they. I get taken more serious as a brunette, which is my natural color, but it is so dark you can only tell it's not black when you put it next to true black, then you can see lighter tones, but I think the darkness puts a shadow over me, makes me look gloomy when I don't mean to. The blonde puts more of a sunny aura about me, and that is what attracts the men.
People are more drawn to positive energies rather than negative energies, because the positive one makes them feel good.
Also, blonde women have a reputation of being airheaded, which may be attractive to a man who is insecure in his own intelligence, because most of all, men HATE to be wrong...and how smart would they feel if their woman surpassed them in the brains department. So they prefer airheads to intelligence because it makes them feel like a big man. It's an ego thing.

Redheads are known for having a fiery personality, very energetic, and men with a thirst for adventure are sometimes drawn to redheads.
As a brunette, no one dismisses what I say, and take what I say seriously.
As a redhead, it was easiest to make my presence known.

But as a blonde, I feel the sexiest, so guess which one I picked?
Sex still rules all. Go figure.

I'm dating a redhead as we speak. I personally like redheads much more than anything else, but don't have any objections to the other hair colors. I've dated a brunette, a blonde, and, like i've said, a redhead. For some really shallow guys blondes are the way to go. But those aren't the guys you want to be dating anyway. What I'm trying to say is: for some guys hair color matters, for most, it doesn't.

I'd like to add that I'm talking about a natural redhead, not a dyed redhead.

Girl weighing on on this - I've been all three (currently redhead - it fits my personality best, and blonde on my natural brunette hair doesn't look right to me in the winter).

I recently posted an online dating profile with a few photos of the red hair and one photo during my old blonde days. It was a great shot of me, the only one I have that's fullbody and doesn't require trying to obviously crop out my ex, and three guys all emailed me asking if I was a redhead or blonde. I told them, "Currently red, but I'm blonde depending on the seasons and my mood when I sit on my stylists chair"

I may as well have told the three to F off. I didn't hear back from a one. If they're that shallow about something as flexible as haircolor, they aren't worth the time. It's a pity, because I have to lot to offer a guy, and I'm not asking them to show me their abs, their bank account statements, or the size of what they're packing in their pants.

blonde hair really just stands out more, so at a bar say a blonde girl would probably get more attention. However I probably know more guys who prefer brunettes.

the problem with bleaching the color out of your hair - is that it becomes really brittle, dry and ugly looking.

however, i like highlights over a total blond. often the color of the hair doesn't match the skin that well. and starting off on a lie never helps. i will notice hair, but only if it's cut in the way i like. or if it's really gross. otherwise it's not a strong factor in selecting a mate.

of the choice of 3 - i would probably go with the red head, but i like more of a strawberry blond over red. red is more different then the other two, but it would all depend.

and while i do like blonds, i only notice them because they stick out. but if their only concerned over their hair, i wouldn't want to go near them.

I've dated all types women with red hair...brown...black and blonde....It does not matter to me...I think the eyes are the thing that gets me...it not the color either...if they sparkle and I get that lost feeling...that attracts me the most....I've date women from 5'10 to 4'10 .....

red hair attracts me. However, what I prefer is someone able to carry a conversation, on any topic with me, whatever color of hair they have will be fine.

blondes- one nighters
brunettes- forever
redheads- never

i prefer brunettes because they are more natural, but if i were to be true to my heritage (greek) i would seek out a blonde hair, green eyes girl
