It doesn't matter if your head is covered or not. You just have to cover if you are praying, not if you see someone praying or hear the call to prayer. If you hear the call to prayer and do not go pray, it is a sin though.

Need to understand the Islam, few things are suppose to do from heart as a matter of respect as an etiquette, not as an order or obligation. These civilized society we having many manners of eating, having in classroom, attending business meetings and even dining at public places but if it comes to religion we take it in complication.
Allah is Greatest, and Azan is His invitation for Prayer... Not a sin if u hear or see at Channel and don't cover your head, and also if you switch the channel, but just for respect to beloved Allah and as an etiquette while the invitation call is continue, if you just cover your head , just to show your respect to Allah that you are attentive. (I hope He Would like it) is it bad? :) Think ...

People change the channel irrespective that Azaan is being shown, you should not change the channel if you are that religious minded and it will not be a sin if your head is not covered why are you trying to make Islam such a difficult religion

I am a bit confused. You donot have to cover your head when you hear the azan. This goes for on the tv or outside, unless you are outside. This has nothing to do with Islam or the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH). You do have to cover when you pray though. Nor do you have to cover when you are inside your home unless there are non mahram men around.

No it's not a sin. The reason for the head covering doesn't have to do anything with hearing the adhan on T.V.
However, I think it's a sin to change the channnel while it's on.

I don't know about Muslims, it is complex. I have been to Bahrain, Dubai, Abu Dahbi, Jebal Ali, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq.
Some Muslims think that an image of any person can lead to idolatry, and as such we should have no images, but many Muslims have TV with dish antenna to get Western movies and TV shows.
Some Muslims say that pornography is bad, but when I was in Iraq I frequently saw Iraqi soldiers watching American porn on TV in the evenings when they were done with work.
I think that Muslims are a complex people with varying degrees of piety. Some believe that all non Muslims should be subjugated and murdered and others will treat you with kindness, some will strap bombs to their kids and send them to kill other people's kids and some of them love their children and treat them like the most precious gift that God could have given them.
I don't think that anyone can say all Muslims about anything and be correct. My experience is that no two Muslims are alike.
