A suggestion: At the reception upon your return have a slide show or video of the wedding that can be in a viewable area for the people that weren't able to attend.

Last year there was a wedding where only family and very close friends ( about 50 people) were in attendance. I was not invited to the wedding but was invited to the reception the following day... which included around 250 guests. So, yes, of course... this is perfectly acceptable ... on land and especially on sea!!!

Quite a few have finances that can't come to my destinational wedding; however, having another reception (as having first one at a luau in Maui), at home for everyone to join, with out costing them is what I feel is a very good option to do after your wedding.

You need to anticipate that some people may feel bad about not being able to go. However, for the majority of people, they'll be perfectly happy going to the reception afterwards and won't feel "left out" at all.

No you shouldnt feel bad... You're marrying each other, no one else. Do what makes you happy. The party upon return is a good idea, that way everyone can come help celebrate!
